BANGALORE STYLE KATLI (DAL & Spinach CURRY) | دال ومرق السبانخ | दाल पालक रेसिपी | DECCAN’S PAKWAN

Ingredients

  1. Bhaji (spinach) : ½ bunch
  2. Toor Dal (Pigeon Peas ) : 80g
    3.Ballar ki Dal : 20g
  3. Tomato : 3
  4. Onion : 1(medium)
  5. Green Chili : 7-8
  6. Garlic : 5-6 clove
  7. Pink Salt : 1tsp
  8. Turmeric : ¼ tsp

For Tempering

  1. Oil : 3 tbsp
  2. Crushed Garlic :2-3 cloves
  3. Dry Red Chili : 3
  4. Mustard Seed : ½ tsp
  5. Cumin Seed : ½ tsp
  6. Curry Leaves : 7-8
    7 : Sliced Onion : ¼
  7. Turmeric : ¼ tsp

Process

  1. In a pressure cooker add water and add all the ingredients as mentioned in the ingredients list Close the lid and pressure cook for 3 to 4 whistle
  2. Switch off the flame and leave it for 10min
  3. Open the lid and sieve dal & bhaji separate water from dal
  4. Blend Bhaji & dal in a Handi (Earthen Pot)to smooth paste and mix the Bhaji & dal water
  5. Lastly tempering
  6. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seed, zeera, and Whole dry red chili, Crushed Garlic and Onion saute for a minute and add curry leaves .
  7. Add Blended bhaji & dal and cook for 5 min.
  8. Serve with rice.
