YDERABAD STYLE | DAHI VADA RECIPE | دہی بھلے | दही भल्ले | DECCAN’S PAKWAN

Ingredients

  1. Mash ki dal(soaked) : 400g
  2. Curd : ¾ ltr
  3. Black pepper powder : ½ Tsp
  4. Salt to taste : 1Tsp
  5. Oil : For Frying
  6. Mint : 1 tbsp
  7. Coriander leaves : 1 Tbsp
  8. Green Chilli : 2
  9. Water : ¾ ltr
  10. Oil (tadka) : 3 tbsp
  11. Curry leaves : 7-8
  12. Dry red chilli : 2
  13. Mustard seeds : 1Tsp
  14. Zeera : ½ tsp
    15.Baking soda : ¼ tsp

Process

  1. In a grinder jar add soaked mash ki dal and green chilli and grind to a smooth thick paste don’t add too much water.
  2. Grind coriander leaves , mint and green chilli to a smooth paste , take a separate empty bowl, add blended or whipped curd, 4 cups of water and add grind paste in a Curd , salt ,mix well and keep aside.
  3. In a frying pan, add oil for frying. Make round shape vada in the form of vada with thick consistency.
  4. . Fry till golden brown on both sides.
  5. Immediately add these fried vada to water then transfer vada in curd mix while they are still hot so that they get soaked well in the curd.
  6. For tempering Heat oil in a pan add cumin seed(zeera), mustard seed, curry leaves and dry red chillies turmeric, Temper the dahi mix.
