Bangalore style DESI CHICKEN CURRY

DESI CHICKEN CURRY | COUNTRY CHICKEN CURRY | دجاج بلدي كاري | देसी चिकन करी | DECCAN’S PAKWAN

Ingredients
1. Chicken: 1kg
2. Onion (Paste): 2medium
3. Tomato Puree: 3
4. Coconut:1cup
5. Ginger & Garlic Paste: 2tsp
6. Red Chili Paste: 2tsp
7. Coriander Powder: 2tsp
8. Turmeric: 1 tsp
9. Kashmiri Chili Powder: 1tsp
10. Oil: 4 tbsp
11. Coriander Leaves: 2tbsp
12. Garam Masala Powder: ½ tsp
13. Whole garam masala
14. Salt to taste

Process
1. In a grinder, add onion & coriander leaves, make a smooth paste.
2. Next, grind coconut to a smooth paste, & make Tomato puree.
3. In a Handi / pressure cooker, add oil, adds some onion sauté for a min add ginger garlic paste fry for a minute, and add Kashmiri Chili Powder Sautee’ for a min on a medium flame.
4. Alternatively, you can transfer it to a pressure cooker and pressure cook for 4 whistles- on high heat.
5. Add chicken and fry for about 4-5 min and add dry Red Chili Powder, Salt, Coriander Powder, Turmeric, mix well and cook for 10min.
6. Add onion, coriander leaves paste, and cook for 20-25min on medium flame.
7. Add tomato paste and mix, add water and coconut paste, and water cook for 15min on a low flame.
8. Add garam masala powder and cook till chicken gets tender.

Desi Chicken Curry is ready to serve!
