Tasty KARELA ONION FRY Recipe | يقلى القرع المر والبصل | करेला फ्राई रेसिपी | DECCAN’S PAKWAN
Ingredients
1. Bitter gourd (karela): 250g
2. Onion (sliced): 1big
3. Oil: 5tbsp
4. Tomato Puree: 1big
5. Ginger & Garlic Paste: 1tsp
6. Red Chili Powder: 1tsp
7. Kashmiri Chili Powder: 1tsp
8. Coriander Powder: 1tsp
9. Turmeric: 1tsp
10. Garam Masala Powder: ½ tsp
11. Cumin Powder: ½ tsp
12. Fennel Seed (saunf): ½ tsp
13. Coriander leaves:1tbsp
14. Curry Leaves: 7-8
Process
1. Cut Bitter gourd into thin slices.
2. Wash the bitter gourd thoroughly, put salt & mix it nicely.
3. Cover it & leave it for 10-15 min, squeeze the water out & keep it on a separate plate.
4. Fry karela in hot oil until golden brown.
5. Keep stirring so that it cooks from all sides evenly.
6. Once done take it out on a plate & keep it aside.
7. Heat oil in a kadhai add onion & fry in a medium flame until golden brown.
8. Add Ginger & Garlic Paste sauté for a min.
9. Add Kashmiri chili powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric & cumin powder mix well & fry for 2 min.
10. Add tomato puree & salt, cook on a medium flame until oil separates.
11. Add fried karela & mix it well, cook on low flame for 2min.
12. Add fennel seed, coriander leaves & curry leaves, cook on a low flame till oil separates.
