BUTTER CHICKEN

BUTTER CHICKEN | बटर चिकन | بٹر چکن | DECCAN’S PAKWAN

Ingredients
For Chicken Marination

  1. Chicken boneless : 300 gms
  2. Ginger garlic paste : 1 tsp
  3. Red chilli powder : 1 tsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oil for Frying
  6. Curd : 3 tsp
    For Gravy
  7. Tomatoes ( Roughly slit ) : 500 gms
  8. Onions (Roughly cut ) : 1
  9. Cashew (Kaju) : 50 gms
  10. Kasuri Methi : 1 tsp
  11. Garam masala powder
  12. Kashmiri Chilli Powder : 2 tbsp
  13. Butter : 5tbsp
  14. Cream : 3 tbsp
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Ginger : 1 inch
  17. Garlic : 5-6 clove

Process

  1. Marinate the chicken with ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, Curd and salt and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry chicken pieces on both sides till golden brown.
  3. In other pan add onion, oil, a spoonful of butter and once the onions are cooked add tomatoes and cashew nuts
  4. Add some water and garlic, Ginger, salt, garam masala powder, and chili powder. Evenly mix it and let it simmer for 10 minutes
  5. Put the mixture in a blender/grinder and blend till smooth Paste.
  6. Strain it into a bowl using a strainer.
  7. Add butter, cream, chicken and kasoori meethi and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  8. Garnish it with cream
    Butter Chicken is ready to be served!
